Pipefitter Foreman

About the role

The Pipefitter Foreman leads field pipefitting crews on industrial and commercial projects, ensuring quality installation, safety compliance, and on‑time delivery. This position blends technical expertise with strong leadership to coordinate trades, manage resources, and uphold project standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, train, and assign daily tasks to crews while monitoring performance and providing feedback.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to plan optimal pipe routing and installation sequences.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety protocols, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain a zero‑incident mindset.
• Inspect work for code compliance, perform pressure testing, and correct any defects.
• Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and keep schedules on track.
• Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and tools, ensuring a clean and organized job site.
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, material usage, safety incidents, and quality inspections.

Required profile

• 4–6+ years of hands‑on industrial or commercial pipefitting experience, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid trade certification or apprenticeship completion and active OSHA safety certification (OSHA 10 or 30).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving abilities, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Current driver’s license and ability to work on active job sites while wearing required PPE.

• Pipefitting methods, cutting, threading, welding, rigging, and pressure testing.
