About the role
GHX Industrial, a SunSource company, is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join its Houston shop. The role involves welding and fitting pipe and metal hose components in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Verify orders for correct quantity, materials and dimensions.
- Operate required machines and tools independently.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and ASME requirements.
- Make decisions in the absence of a supervisor.
- Participate in lean activities and safety regulations.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED.
- Industrial TIG pipe welding experience.
- Ability to use a tape measure and perform basic math.
- Ability to pass 6G and Rollout Pipe Weld tests.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand or sit for extended periods.
Required skills
- TIG pipe welding.
- Blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of ISO and ASME standards.
- Proficiency in 6G welding test.
- Proficiency in Rollout pipe weld test.
