Physician - General Surgical Pathologist - Full Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health System Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center – Shreveport are seeking a General Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Pathology. The successful candidate must be Board‑certified in Anatomic Pathology and eligible for Louisiana licensure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellence in specimen preparation and diagnostic accuracy while providing high‑quality consultative services to clinical colleagues.
• Support and incorporate advanced diagnostic techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy.
• Fulfill service and teaching responsibilities, including mentorship of medical students and residents.
• Provide physician leadership and input at all levels of administration.

Required profile

• Board certified in Anatomic Pathology (or combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology).
• Eligible for licensure in Louisiana.
• Visa sponsorship available for qualified J‑1 and H‑1B waiver candidates.
