Pharmacy Technician IV – Procurement

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician IV – Procurement supports the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences pharmacy operations by managing the acquisition of medications, supplies, and related services. This full‑time, day‑shift position works on the Little Rock campus to ensure timely, cost‑effective procurement while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchase orders and vendor relationships for pharmacy inventory.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory audits, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with UAMS policies, state regulations, and accreditation requirements.
• Facilitate concierge prescription delivery services on the main campus.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to forecast medication needs and support budgeting.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees and graduate assistants) or eligible applicant.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
