About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Pharmacy Specialist to join its Ambulatory Care team. This clinical staff position supports medication management for out‑patient services and collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Dispense and verify prescription medications for ambulatory care patients.
- Provide medication therapy management and patient counseling.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional pharmacy regulations.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in the United States.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Experience in ambulatory or outpatient pharmacy practice preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
