Pharmacist – Non-Competitive Position

About the role

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to provide professional pharmacy services across our hospitals, clinics, and correctional facilities. The role involves direct patient care, medication management, and supervision of pharmacy support staff.

Key responsibilities

• Screen prescriptions and medication orders for completeness, dosage, therapeutic compatibility, drug interactions, and allergies.
• Monitor patient responses to drug therapy, report findings to physicians, and recommend therapy adjustments.
• Prepare and affix accurate drug labels, instruct patients on medication use, and maintain drug distribution systems.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and intern pharmacists in pre‑packing and dispensing activities.
• Utilize pharmacy and medication‑related computerized information systems for order entry and inventory management.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted California Registered Pharmacist license.
• Valid California Class C driver’s license or alternative transportation.
• Physical Class II – Light (occasional lifting up to 10 lb, ambulation).
• One year of experience as a Registered Pharmacist (preferred).
• Successful completion of a one‑year pharmacy residency (preferred).
