Pharmaceutical Sales Associate (Ocular Health)

About the role

Alcon is seeking an entry‑level Pharmaceutical Sales Associate to promote its ocular health products within a defined territory. The role focuses on in‑person engagement with healthcare professionals, building relationships, and driving product awareness and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily face‑to‑face sales visits to physicians, optometrists, clinics and medical offices in the assigned area.
• Present clinical data, product features and appropriate‑use information to influence prescribing behavior.
• Secure orders or commitments for Alcon pharmaceutical products in line with company policy.
• Plan and execute efficient field routing to maintain strong territory coverage.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with HCPs and office staff to expand product access.
• Provide follow‑up education and support to encourage product adoption.
• Perform compliant sample drops and maintain knowledge of products, disease states and competitors.
• Complete CRM entries, email correspondence and expense reports accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 8 years, associate + 4 years, M.S.).
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel daily within the territory.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage time independently in a field‑based role.
• Strong interpersonal and consultative‑selling abilities.
