People (HR) Operations Specialist

About the role

Wing is seeking a People (HR) Operations Specialist to join its Palo Alto team. This hybrid position will support the scaling of people‑related processes that keep the company running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows, including documentation and employee records.
• Partner with the People Programs Team to deliver a positive new‑hire experience and occasionally lead monthly New Hire Orientation.
• Maintain employee data changes (job code, manager, etc.) and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
• Oversee HRIS data integrity, conduct regular audits, generate reports, and build dashboards for leadership insight.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements to create scalable processes.
• Assist with work‑authorization processes (H‑1B, TN, green cards) and coordinate with immigration counsel.
• Navigate multi‑state and international compliance requirements.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and route complex issues to management.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in People Operations, data management, or a related specialized area.
• Experience in a startup or high‑growth environment.
• Foundational knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, especially multi‑state compliance.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to support employees effectively.
