About the role

The Patient Care Technician – TOSH Inpatient provides direct patient care on the night shift within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) inpatient units. This clinical staff position supports nursing teams by delivering essential bedside services and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly.
• Collect specimens, perform basic wound care, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Transport patients to diagnostic areas and support admission and discharge processes.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols during night shift operations.

Required profile

• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System or eligible graduate assistant.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Commitment to work night shift hours.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
