About the role

The Patient Care Technician – Stem Cell Transplant provides essential bedside care and support to patients undergoing stem cell transplantation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Working closely with the transplant team, the technician ensures safe and compassionate care throughout the treatment process.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient monitoring, vital signs, and documentation during stem cell transplant procedures.
• Provide direct bedside care, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and patient comfort measures.
• Support the transplant team in preparing and maintaining a sterile environment for procedures.
• Communicate patient status and observations to nursing and medical staff promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Patient Care Technician or related credential preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment and follow strict infection‑control protocols.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Required skills
