About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide day‑shift, part‑time care in the Orthopedic Neuro unit. The RN will lead patient care using the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
Assess learning needs of patients and families and implement appropriate teaching strategies.
Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
Analyze data and promote changes to improve patient outcomes.
Adapt interactions to respect patient privacy, cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (required).
Current RN license in the state of practice (required).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
