Part‑Time Restaurant Host & Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to be the first point of contact for our guests in a bustling Parisian restaurant. You will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage seating, and handle payments efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests, manage the waitlist, and seat diners promptly.
• Process all guest payments accurately using the restaurant’s POS system, handling cash, cards, and other methods.
• Enter orders into the POS, noting any modifications or special requests.
• Maintain a clean host stand, tidy menus, and an orderly waiting area.
• Answer phone inquiries and provide information about the restaurant.
• Address guest questions or concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Assist with light cleaning, restocking supplies, and take‑out order preparation as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work under pressure.
• Basic math skills for handling payments.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
