Part‑Time Remote Tumor Registrar (AZ Residents)

About the role

The Cancer Center at Kingman Regional Medical Center seeks a part‑time Tumor Registrar who will work remotely from Arizona. The registrar will maintain a comprehensive data system on patients diagnosed with malignancies, ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of registry information.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and report all malignant disease cases from multiple sources within the facility and abstract core clinical information within six months of diagnosis.
• Maintain and update registry statistics, prepare annual reports, and ensure compliance with medical, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare charts for physician review, assist during tumor board meetings, and attend tumor board sessions.
• Follow up on living patients to capture quality‑of‑life and survival data in line with American College of Surgeons standards.
• Complete all Commission on Cancer accreditation elements under supervision of a certified tumor registrar.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; college‑level education preferred.
• Minimum 2 years (Level One) or 3 years (Level Two) experience in a medical or cancer registry setting.
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential required for Level Two positions.
