Partner Solutions Architect (San Jose, CA)

About the role

Alkira, a Lumen company, is seeking a Partner Solutions Architect to join its rapidly expanding channel team in the San Jose area. The role works closely with channel account managers to enable strategic partners worldwide with Alkira‑Lumen networking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training and technical enablement activities for partners.
• Co‑develop customer networking and security solutions with partners.
• Create partner‑focused content such as slides, videos, and PDFs.
• Participate in partner and industry events, webinars, and evangelize the joint solution.
• Monitor industry innovations and provide competitive intelligence to partners.
• Collaborate with internal product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to deliver support and resources.
• Continuously update personal knowledge through hands‑on labs and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a solutions architect, solutions engineer, or similar technical role with partner or customer‑facing engagements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with partners and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of networking technologies.
• Strong understanding of security technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
