Part-Time Instructor – In‑Person or Remote

About the role

The College of Human Sciences & Education at LSU seeks qualified part‑time instructors to teach courses for the School of Information Studies. Candidates may work on‑site or remotely, delivering curriculum to undergraduate and graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses and supervise student interns according to the school’s schedule.
• Select texts and instructional materials, develop syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and evaluation criteria.
• Assess student performance through projects, discussions, examinations and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of enrollments, attendance, grades, and submit required documentation by university deadlines.
• Be available for student consultation via phone, email, or Zoom and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Library & Information Science or a related field (minimum).
• Preferred: PhD in Library & Information Science or a related discipline.
