Part-Time Household Manager

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Part‑Time Household Manager to support our busy family of six in Raleigh, NC (and our summer home in Atlantic Beach, NC). The role involves maintaining our home organization systems, assisting with child‑related tasks, handling errands, pet care, light meal prep and occasional summer property support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with school pickups, supervise children during date nights or events, and prepare lunches and backpacks.
• Maintain daily household organization: tidy surfaces, make beds, reset rooms between cleaning visits, and manage seasonal clothing swaps.
• Perform grocery shopping, pantry restocking, manage mail, returns, dry‑cleaning and other errands.
• Handle light meal preparation, kitchen cleanup, and follow family dietary preferences.
• Manage full family laundry, linen rotation, and garment care including steaming and hang‑drying.
• Provide pet care: walk dogs, feed pets, clean bowls, empty litter box, administer medication and schedule vet appointments.
• Support vehicle upkeep: fueling, scheduling maintenance and coordinating detailing.
• Assist with household calendar, receipt tracking and occasional deep‑cleaning projects.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure, proactive and able to anticipate needs without being asked.
• Comfortable around cats and dogs, and willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification if not already held.
• Reliable transportation, authorized to work in the United States and able to navigate multiple‑level homes.
• Flexible, resource‑ful and enjoys a variety of tasks while maintaining professional boundaries.

What we offer

• Competitive pay of $35‑$40 per hour.
• Flexible schedule of 15‑20 hours per week, typically Monday‑Wednesday with occasional evenings/weekends.
• Summer housing accommodation at the Atlantic Beach property when additional hours are needed.
