Part-Time Fitness Instructor at Wellness Center

About the role

Kingman Healthcare’s Wellness and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a part‑time Fitness Instructor to guide members and guests in safe and effective use of cardio, strength and flexibility equipment. Reporting to the Director of the Wellness Center, the instructor will design personalized exercise programs, conduct fitness assessments and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests professionally and provide equipment orientation.
• Demonstrate proper technique, monitor participants and make corrective adjustments.
• Design and adjust exercise programs based on individual abilities and goals.
• Conduct fitness assessments, recording blood pressure, heart rate and body‑fat measurements.
• Maintain cleanliness of the fitness area, locker rooms and equipment.
• Uphold safety policies and respond to emergencies as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; college degree or BS/BA in Exercise Physiology preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the wellness/fitness industry.
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR/AED or Red Cross BLS certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Required skills

• CPR/AED certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Operation of cardiovascular, strength and flexibility equipment.
• Conducting fitness assessments (blood pressure, heart rate, body‑fat measurement).
