Paid Media Marketer

About the role

Cognition is seeking a hands‑on digital marketer to own and scale its paid media channels from early traction to over $1M per month in spend. You will manage agency partners, run key campaigns yourself, build measurement infrastructure, and identify the most effective channels for converting target customers.

Key responsibilities

• Run and optimize campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, and X, managing budgets, testing creative, and reducing CAC week over week.
• Manage the paid‑media agency relationship: set priorities, review performance, and decide which functions stay outsourced versus move in‑house.
• Scale campaigns that target both self‑serve developers and large enterprise buyers.
• Test 10+ new ad concepts each week, collaborating with designers and creative partners to iterate on high‑performing assets.
• Launch new channels such as programmatic, podcast ads, and CTV once core channels are proven.

Required profile

• Channel operator with hands‑on experience managing campaigns directly within ad platforms.
• AI‑native mindset, leveraging the latest AI tools to automate and accelerate work.
• Analytically rigorous, capable of measuring test incrementality with statistical significance.
• Creative marketer who enjoys ideating fresh campaign angles and copy.
• 2‑4 years of experience managing digital marketing campaigns.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Ads and/or Meta Ads Manager.
• Managed $50K‑$250K/month in spend while maintaining efficiency.
• Set up or significantly improved conversion tracking and attribution.
• Worked closely with creative teams or agencies to iterate ad concepts at high velocity.
