Packaging Operator III – 12hr Rotating Shifts

About the role

3M Indianapolis is looking for a Packaging Operator III to join its manufacturing team. This full‑time position works 12‑hour rotating shifts, with both day and night options available. It offers an entry point for candidates from private, public, government or military backgrounds to start a career at 3M.

Key responsibilities

• Operate automated assembly machines to pack out products.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the packaging process.
• Use 3M computer systems to track production and packaging cycles.
• Communicate production performance with coworkers and supervisors.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED (completed prior to start).
• Minimum two months experience operating production machinery or CNC equipment in any sector.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as needed.
