Operations & Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Operations & Maintenance Technician II (OMT II) is an experienced site operator responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Anaergia’s San Bernardino Bioenergy Facility. The role focuses on the anaerobically digestible material (ADM) receiving area and renewable natural gas (RNG) systems, ensuring continuous production of biogas and its upgrade to RNG.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unload liquid organic feedstocks from tanker trucks, following operating procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Verify manifests, inspect loads for contamination, collect samples for laboratory analysis, and document all receiving activities.
• Monitor and adjust plant operations, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, tanks, and related equipment.
• Interpret process data, technical drawings, and schematics to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
• Support vendor and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety, housekeeping and operational standards.
• Collaborate with plant management, demonstrating ownership, judgment and initiative toward future leadership responsibilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating and maintaining anaerobic digestion or similar industrial facilities.
• Strong process knowledge and advanced troubleshooting capability.
• High level of ownership for facility condition, safety and performance.
• Ability to work independently, make sound judgments and take initiative.
• Willingness to develop leadership skills for future plant management roles.
