About the role

The Operating Room Assistant provides technical support to the surgical team, assists with patient transport, runs errands, relays messages, and helps maintain a clean, safe environment for patient care and room turnover.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform indirect and direct patient care duties as a member of the surgical team.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment in operating rooms and support areas.
  • Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and the delivery of supplies.
  • Adapt quickly to rapid changes in the department and follow regulatory standards.

Required profile

  • Proficiency with computers, software and web‑based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise good judgement in pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Computer proficiency for clinical and administrative tasks.
