Onsite Support Intermediate – Security Systems Low Voltage Tech

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences seeks an intermediate‑level technician to provide onsite support for security and low‑voltage systems. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining a variety of electronic security components across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately troubleshoot and resolve issues with security system and network cabling components.
• Install and configure electronic control systems such as door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, Wi‑Fi locks, and network switches.
• Respond to system failures, isolate problems, and perform repairs or configuration changes to restore full functionality.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation, taking weekly responsibility for emergency support.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate, bachelor, or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with low‑voltage cabling, security systems, and building maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved exemption.
