Obstetrician & Gynecologist – Physician

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Obstetrician‑Gynecologist to join an established practice in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The position is clinic‑based with dedicated surgery days and works closely with an 88‑bed hospital adjacent to the practice. You will be part of an integrated model that leverages strong internal referrals and specialist support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic outpatient care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform scheduled obstetric and gynecologic surgeries in a dedicated operating suite.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic health record system for documentation, order entry, and care coordination.
• Collaborate with Ochsner’s network of specialists and sub‑specialists to ensure coordinated patient management.
• Participate in the integrated practice model, contributing to internal referral pathways and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Ability to deliver both clinic‑based care and operative services.
• Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centered care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work in a tort‑reform state and adhere to Ochsner’s clinical standards.
