Non-Invasive Cardiologist (Board Certified) – Baton Rouge

About the role

Ochsner Health Baton Rouge is seeking a board‑eligible or board‑certified non‑invasive cardiologist to join a busy, multidisciplinary practice. You will work alongside interventional cardiologists, advanced practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive cardiac care to patients throughout the region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced heart‑failure, TAVR, vascular surgery, and electrophysiology services on a rotating call schedule.
• Cover one hospital with call every fifth day, including nighttime and weekend coverage, and rotate weekly among three clinic locations.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as EKGs, Holter monitoring, exercise stress tests (including nuclear), cardiac ultrasound (including stress and dobutamine echo), and vascular ultrasound.
• Participate in the arrhythmia/device clinic and cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in non‑invasive cardiology.
• Willingness to engage in weekly hospital coverage, weekend rounding, and on‑call duties.
• Commitment to collaborative, multispecialty care within an integrated health‑care delivery model.

Required skills

• Epic electronic medical record platform proficiency.
• EKG interpretation and Holter monitoring.
• Exercise stress testing (including nuclear).
• Cardiac ultrasound, including stress echo and dobutamine stress echo.
• Vascular ultrasound.
