Night Shift Manufacturing Technician

About the role

As a Manufacturing Technician you will be the first line of defense for safe, quality ingredient receiving and batching at Nestlé’s state-of-the-art pet-care factory in Batavia. After two weeks of onboarding you will move to a night-shift schedule (6 pm‑6 am) working in one of three production areas – Batching, Processing or Packaging.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, load and unload materials while maintaining accurate inventory data.
• Test incoming ingredients against quality specifications and act on variances.
• Operate and maintain automated batching, processing or packaging equipment, including start‑up, shutdown and changeovers.
• Manage inventory levels through bin measurements and system monitoring.
• Use digital tools to track and communicate daily performance metrics.
• Follow lock‑out‑tag‑out, quality sampling, cleanliness and documentation procedures.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and team meetings.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, military or similar high‑pace environment.

Required skills

• Operation of automated batching and processing equipment.
• Use of digital performance‑tracking tools.
• Inventory measurement and monitoring.
• Knowledge of lock‑out‑tag‑out safety procedures.
