New Product Manufacturing Engineer IV

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductor and advanced display manufacturing. The New Product Manufacturing Engineer IV will lead the development, implementation, and release of bills of materials and product structures for complex new products, driving manufacturing, test, and sourcing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and release of BOMs and product structures for complex products.
• Develop and implement new product manufacturing, test, and sourcing strategies.
• Manage creation and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for new products.
• Utilize 3D solid model virtual analysis (Master Layout and Digital Mock‑Up) to improve manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews, providing DFA, DFAe, DFTp, ITO, and efficiency feedback.
• Project‑manage Change Control Board activities, including ECOs, NSRs, SPSs, and ESWs.
• Lead root‑cause corrective analysis (RCCA) and long‑term corrective action (LTCA) for issues.
• Provide technical support and training to manufacturing resources and suppliers.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth of expertise in new product manufacturing engineering (NPME) and BOM management.
• Proven ability to lead functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and process improvement.

Required skills

• BOM development and product structure management.
• Creation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS).
• 3D solid model analysis using Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock‑Up (DMU).
• Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Test (DFTp) methodologies.
• Change Control Board (CCB) management and engineering change processes.
