About the role
The National Account Leader will drive growth for 3M across the United States and Canada by building deep, integrated relationships with Grainger’s national accounts. You will act as the primary architect of the 3M‑Grainger strategic roadmap, ensuring both organizations achieve market‑leading incremental growth.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for 3M within Grainger’s US and Canadian national account organizations.
- Lead accelerated engagement initiatives to position 3M as the preferred partner for large‑scale industrial contracts.
- Design, launch, and manage national sales programs, promotional campaigns, and logistical enhancements from concept through field execution.
- Serve as the central liaison between 3M divisions (e.g., PSD, Abrasives, IATD) and Grainger’s national account sales and leadership teams.
- Utilize business intelligence to identify white‑space opportunities, assess competitive threats, and adapt strategies to evolving industrial distribution trends.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in key account management, industrial distribution, or sales leadership.
- At least one (1) year of experience applying project‑management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑national accounts, preferably across the US and Canada.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
