About the role
The Mobile Computer Tomography Technologist provides CT imaging services using a mobile CT unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This role supports clinical staff by delivering high‑quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the mobile computer tomography scanner and perform patient positioning.
- Acquire diagnostic images following established CT protocols.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and monitor exposure levels.
- Perform routine equipment checks, calibrations, and basic maintenance.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure appropriate imaging studies.
- Document procedures, image data, and patient information accurately.
Required profile
- Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees or graduate assistants) with legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Relevant certification or licensure for CT technologists.
- Ability to work in a clinical environment and follow safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with patients and healthcare staff.
Required skills
- Operation of mobile computer tomography equipment.
- Knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety practices.
- Patient care and positioning techniques.
- Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
