Mission Manager – Space Infrastructure

About the role

Cowboy Space Corp. is building the infrastructure that powers and connects the orbital economy. As a Mission Manager you will act as the mission specialist, driving execution and challenging the status quo while working onsite in San Carlos, CA.

Key responsibilities

• Manage program schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate mission execution across engineering, operations, leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Lead problem‑solving efforts, gather the right stakeholders, and drive decision‑making for complex technical and operational challenges.
• Build and maintain integrated mission schedules, resource plans, priorities, and dependencies.
• Coordinate personnel and cross‑functional contributors across multiple workstreams to sustain execution velocity.
• Establish accountability, remove blockers, and keep mission objectives on track.
• Operate effectively in ambiguous environments, taking ownership of outcomes rather than just tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• 5 + years of technical project management experience delivering complex programs.
• Proven ability to drive programs from inception through delivery with high ownership.
• Demonstrated creative problem‑solving skills in fast‑moving, ambiguous settings.
