Medical Technologist (TechMed-6120)

About the role

The Medical Technologist supports Kingman Healthcare’s vision of delivering top‑quality clinical care by performing patient and proficiency testing, quality control, calibrations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. This position ensures accurate test results while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute test procedures accurately, monitor results for reasonableness, and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain proficiency testing records and ensure they are processed like patient specimens.
• Document all quality‑control activities, instrument calibrations, and preventive maintenance.
• Identify and correct problems affecting test performance or report them to technical leadership.
• Complete routine and STAT tests within required time frames, adjusting schedules as needed.
• Act as on‑site supervisor in the absence of technical leadership and sign off on competencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related clinical science field.
• Minimum of 1 year hospital laboratory experience.
• MLS (ASCP), AMT, AAB, or NCA certification required within one year of hire.
• Ability to work safely with routine exposure to blood and body fluids (Category I).
