About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II specialized in Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) testing. This full‑time, onsite position supports the clinical laboratory team in delivering high‑quality diagnostic services to patients across Arkansas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform HLA typing and related molecular assays following established protocols.
• Validate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and software.
• Document test results accurately in the laboratory information system.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to ensure timely reporting.
• Participate in quality‑control and proficiency‑testing programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP or equivalent).
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
