Mechanic – 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to be a key player at our Latham, New York facility where we manufacture magnets for MRI machines. You will operate and maintain a variety of power tools to fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components for MRI systems while adhering to safety and ESD protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain handheld and bench‑mounted power tools (drills, riveters, torque drivers, grinders) to accurately fabricate, assemble, and install mechanical components for MRI systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to interpret technical drawings, perform precise assemblies, and document tool usage and maintenance to ensure compliance with medical‑device manufacturing standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with light industrial or home‑improvement work, including soldering, wiring, fabrication, or general warehouse tasks.
• Ability to meet the physical, cognitive, and environmental demands of the production/assembler position, with or without accommodation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with drills, riveters, torque drivers, and grinders.
• Soldering and wiring techniques.
• Fabrication and assembly skills.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• Knowledge of ESD safety protocols.
