About the role

Join Ford’s Manufacturing Engineering Transformation team to drive digital manufacturing strategy across global plants. As a Manufacturing Systems Solutions Engineer, you will act as the bridge between engineering requirements and software development, ensuring new tools are aligned with business goals and adopted by the workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workshops and interviews with manufacturing engineers, industrial engineers, and plant leaders to capture improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and user stories for development teams.
• Serve as technical product owner, managing the feature backlog, clarifying questions, removing blockers, and prioritizing sprint tasks.
• Conduct regular product reviews to verify that builds meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Present demos and prototypes to stakeholders, gather feedback, and validate concepts.
• Communicate project status and technical details between software developers and manufacturing stakeholders.
• Utilize Jira to track progress, manage the backlog, and ensure timely delivery of features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in advanced manufacturing environments.
