Manufacturing Assembly Lead

About the role

The Assembly Team Lead coordinates daily activities for all trades within the team to construct assigned projects. The role supports the Assembly Supervisor on team development, time approval, and productivity, ensuring deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the assembly team to construct projects per drawings, engineering deliverables, and the Assembly Build Sequence (ABS).
• Identify headcount adjustments based on weekly workload and inform supervisors.
• Approve labor hours promptly in the supervisor’s absence.
• Coordinate with Material Control, Fabrication, and Paint to prioritize material deliveries.
• Enforce safety protocols such as AWARE Cards, Take5, JSA, and JRA.
• Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on ABS plans, planned hours, and process improvements.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience packaging natural‑gas equipment.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&IDs, General Arrangements, Electrical).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
• Basic familiarity with SAP Project Systems (PS) and Production Planning (PP).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; dependable, self‑directed, detail‑oriented.
