Manager II, Logistics Operations

About the role

The Manager II, Logistics Operations role collaborates with outsourced logistics providers and internal teams to ensure efficient planning, ordering, purchasing and inventory management for the Austin region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate in close collaboration with outsourced logistics operations providers and internal organization.
• Plan ordering, purchasing and coordinate with Customer Account Specialists in the local region.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and conduct physical inventories for verification.
• Determine staffing requirements, recruit, train and retain key logistics staff.
• Oversee effective warehousing operations and manage commitment methodologies and processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of logistics procedures and concepts within the job family.
• Ability to apply business expertise to improve team efficiency and solve day‑to‑day operational problems.
• Formal supervisory experience with responsibility for setting priorities and coaching employees.
• Strong interpersonal skills to exchange information diplomatically with customers, vendors or suppliers.
