Manager, Data Architect – Remote

About the role

RTX is looking for a Manager, Workforce Intelligence (Data Architect) to design and maintain a scalable HR data architecture. The role is fully remote and supports the company’s aerospace and defense operations by delivering reliable, governed data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain HR data architecture in Snowflake, including databases, schemas, data models, and semantic views.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion and Snowflake.
• Define and enforce data governance, quality, lineage, naming standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop data controls and manage security policies for role‑based access.
• Administer SQL Server environments for metadata management, including performance tuning.
• Establish DevOps practices such as version control, deployment automation, and environment promotion.
• Collaborate with product, delivery, BU consultants, and BI teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture designs, processes, and governance policies.
• Support AI‑ready use cases by organizing trusted semantics and reusable data products.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship or authorized status.
• University degree (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 5 years.
• 7+ years in data architecture or data engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake and cloud data services.
• Proven expertise in data governance, metadata management, and data security.
