Manager, Admissions & Academic Support Services

About the role

The Frost School of Music seeks a full‑time Manager to oversee Admissions and Academic Support Services, ensuring smooth daily operations, policy implementation, and strategic promotion of programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Admissions department and implement admissions policies, practices and procedures.
• Develop and promote admissions strategies to target communities and represent the Frost School of Music at recruitment events.
• Provide academic support to graduate students, including degree‑progress monitoring, graduation clearance assistance and oversight of final project submissions.
• Assist with event planning and coordination for audition days, open houses and other on‑campus activities.
• Handle applicant inquiries via email, phone and in‑person, and serve as backup for undergraduate and graduate counseling sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Music preferred).
• Minimum five years of related experience in admissions, student services or higher‑education administration.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to remain composed under pressure.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with student information systems such as PeopleSoft, Slate and CaneLink.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools including Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Zoom.
