Maintenance Technician – Silver Level

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – Silver ensures that the physical components of a mid‑rise residential property are clean, safe, and fully functional. Working on‑site in San Jose, you will support the building’s daily operations and uphold Greystar’s high standards for appearance and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Execute painting, minor carpentry, and other cosmetic repairs to maintain property aesthetics.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, providing timely corrective actions.
• Document work orders and updates using property management platforms such as Yardi and HappyCo.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet the Tuesday‑Saturday, 9 am‑6 pm schedule.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and a resourceful approach to problem solving.
