Maintenance Technician (Multi‑Site)

About the role

This multi‑site Maintenance Technician role is primarily based at the Sedgefield office and supports Greystar properties across the region. The position ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance and functionality. Reliable transportation is required to travel between assigned locations.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage, return unused items and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts, minimizing waste and using tools correctly.

Required profile

• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training and report incidents promptly.
• Inspect work performed by contractors, vendors and service providers to verify quality, scope and specifications.
• Assist with routine property inspections to identify safety concerns, ensure proper repairs and communicate physical needs to management.

Required skills

• EPA Type I refrigerant certification.
• EPA Type II refrigerant certification.
• EPA Universal refrigerant certification.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
