Maintenance Technician – Indigo at Berewick

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of Indigo at Berewick meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports both resident requests and preventative upkeep across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing them in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory by tracking usage of materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when possible, minimizing waste, and using tools and equipment correctly.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely and according to code.
• Experience with make‑ready procedures and coordinating vendors or contractors.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Willingness to perform cleaning, pressure‑washing, and painting tasks as needed.
