Maintenance Technician II

About the role

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for repairing, adjusting, and performing preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment at NOVO Health Services' linen facilities. The role includes basic plumbing, carpentry, welding, and electrical tasks under senior technician supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily startup procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts and test equipment for proper operation.
• Lubricate, align, and maintain mechanical systems such as drives, motors, and bearings.
• Operate welding equipment and forklifts safely.
• Follow OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logs and work orders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, standing, walking).
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills.

Required skills

• Mechanical equipment diagnosis and repair.
• Preventive maintenance of drives, motors, and bearings.
• Operation of welding equipment and forklifts.
• Basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
