Maintenance Technician – Harpeth Heights

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Harpeth Heights property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. The role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Greystar’s safety policies and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and inventory tracking.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule with rotating on‑call duties.
