Maintenance Technician – Braxton at Brier Creek

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of Braxton at Brier Creek – a stabilized garden‑style community in Raleigh, NC – meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and conduct preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Available Monday‑Friday with a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, building codes, and Greystar’s maintenance policies.
• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation skills.
