Machine Setup, Repair & Tooling Technician

About the role

As a Set‑up, Repair, and Tooling Technician in the machine shop, you will set up, monitor, and maintain production equipment. You will ensure machines produce parts that meet specifications while training operators and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up machinery to produce parts that meet product specifications and output requirements.
• Monitor machine output and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Change tools and monitor tool wear, damage, and usage.
• Train production operators, process auditors and other setup personnel.
• Follow ASC work instructions, obtain a tow‑motor license and pass LOTO and confined‑space training.

Required profile

• Accurate use of measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators, alignment equipment, L‑1 thread gauge and 6‑step gauge.
• Ability to read and interpret product and equipment drawings and written specifications.
• Apply basic mathematics to relate measured dimensions to process requirements.
• Understanding of technical terminology related to machining processes.
