Live Safety Broadcaster

About the role

Citizen protects the world by delivering real, verified safety information exactly when it matters. The Live Safety Broadcaster is the face and voice of Citizen during major incidents, combining real‑time monitoring with on‑camera narration for a live audience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live incident feeds, scanner audio, user video and data streams across multiple markets, verify facts quickly and accurately, and author incident updates and push notifications.
• Broadcast live from the Mission Control studio during major incidents, delivering clear, credible commentary, prompting safe community participation and interacting with the live audience.
• Coordinate with field creators, users going live and partner responders to build a real‑time picture of active scenes.
• Partner with content and social teams to turn live broadcasts into clips, highlights and cross‑platform moments, and help refine the on‑air playbook.

Required profile

• Warm, credible on‑camera personality who can hold a live audience and build a trusted public presence.
• Sharp judgment under pressure, fast and detail‑obsessed verification skills, and comfort being a visible public face.
• Passion for public safety and the seriousness of real‑world incidents.

Required skills

• Live streaming on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube Live, TikTok Live or similar.
• Camera operation and on‑air presentation skills.

What we offer

• Base salary $70,000–$120,000 per year plus equity.
