Linux L3 Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linux L3 Engineer to join our team in Springfield, TX. This long‑term position focuses on advanced administration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support RHEL 7/8/9 servers, including installation, patching, and upgrades.
• Manage Satellite and Cluster servers, Kickstart deployments, and Identity Management services.
• Perform hardware provisioning, bare‑metal installs, and SAN migrations.
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Monitor system health with tools such as BMC Patrol, SolarWinds, and Tivoli.
• Handle disaster recovery, OS boot issues, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with networking teams to resolve connectivity problems.

Required profile

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on Linux systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable collaborating across groups.
