About the role
The Leasing Professional coordinates marketing, leasing, and renewal activities for a residential community. The role drives occupancy, revenue, and resident retention by guiding prospects through the leasing process and supporting existing residents throughout their lease term.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease packages.
- Inspect units before move‑in, ensure they are ready, and coordinate any maintenance needs.
- Monitor market trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
- Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
- Use property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, and manage resident data.
- Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards, coordinating with maintenance as needed.
- Follow up with prospects and residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to ensure satisfaction and secure lease renewals.
- Respond promptly to resident and owner concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
Required profile
- Valid state licenses or certifications as required and a driver’s license for operating a golf cart.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and be on‑call as needed.
Required skills
- Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite and Yardi.
- Experience using internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
