About the role
Mastercard is looking for a Lead Software Engineer specialized in Quality Engineering (QE) to drive testing excellence across its payment platforms. You will work closely with development teams to embed quality into every stage of the software delivery lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute test strategies, acceptance criteria, and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers to build test infrastructure, perform code reviews, and ensure high‑quality releases.
- Promote QE best practices and a self‑service testing culture across multiple product verticals.
- Integrate quality metrics into agile and waterfall processes using tools such as RALLY and ALM.
Required profile
- Strong software development background with hands‑on coding experience.
- Experience in both agile and waterfall testing methodologies.
- Passion for improving software stability and customer experience.

- COBOL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, DB2 Stored Procedures, DB2 Utilities, SQL
