Lead Data & AI Security Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a senior security professional to lead the security strategy for its Data Commercialization and Artificial Intelligence initiatives. As the primary security advocate, you will ensure that security is embedded in every data‑driven product and AI solution across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology, engineering, and business teams to integrate robust security practices into data and AI projects.
• Advise product and development teams on secure design patterns and industry best practices.
• Lead security efforts on large, complex, global, cross‑functional initiatives.
• Work closely with developers and architects to evaluate business requirements, assess feasibility, and recommend optimal security solutions that satisfy regulatory and compliance standards.
• Apply deep knowledge of security principles throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in information security and secure engineering disciplines.
• Proven ability to guide product teams on secure application and service design.
• Strong understanding of security theories, concepts, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership in large‑scale, global security projects.
