Lead Agentic AI Designer

About the role

Mastercard Services’ Operational Intelligence team is expanding its AI platform with agentic AI and large language model (LLM) driven autonomous systems. The Lead Agentic AI Designer will design, build, and scale enterprise‑grade, multi‑agent AI platforms that power critical operational workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy LLM‑powered applications and multi‑agent systems for reconciliation, transaction insights, anomaly detection and operational AI copilots.
• Architect agent workflows, including memory strategies, tool integration, guardrails and human‑in‑the‑loop patterns.
• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and context engineering using platforms such as Mem0 and Redis.
• Integrate agentic systems with Mastercard’s enterprise data platforms (TI, MEDI, OR) and build reliable, scalable backend services.
• Ensure production‑grade reliability, observability and compliance with enterprise security and scalability standards.
• Partner with product teams to move solutions from proof‑of‑concept to MVP and production, and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Strong background in AI/ML engineering with hands‑on experience building large‑scale LLM applications.
• Proven ability to design and deliver multi‑agent autonomous systems in an enterprise environment.
• Experience collaborating closely with product owners and leading technical delivery.
